Exams are finished, graduation is over, and high school is complete. Another summer has begun, and for me, that means many exciting training camps to come.
Due to extreme flooding that has recently occurred in Canmore, the Haig Glacier camp I was scheduled to attend with the Rocky Mountain Racers Ski Team was cancelled. Fortunately, the Poffenroth family generously hosted our team at their cabin in Creston, B.C., for a 5-day training camp. Sunny days that were filled with road biking, running, roller skiing, and rowing under the beautiful B.C. skies made the first training camp of the summer a definite success.
Run by Kootenay Lake.
Mid-way through a bike ride from Kaslo to New Denver and back.
Until next time,
